Congresswoman Pushes for Overseas Business
The discussion of overseas business seems a touchy phrase let alone point these days. Anyone discussing overseas in the same sentence as manufacturing has to choose their words carefully, and their ideas. This recent event of a California congresswoman encouraging business owners to look at exports and overseas trading is not exactly what the U.S. workers can use, or workers living in the house. The emphasis on profit opportunities and business opportunities for entrepreneurs doesn’t help the case for job creation, even if these efforts might help indirectly. Sorry to see a politician and/or congresswoman fitting herself in this role rather than encouraging U.S. business to seek workers, manufacturers, and business here.
